Teaching of Holy Quran with translation now compulsory in Punjab universities 

Punjab: the teaching of the Holy Quran with whole translation is necessary for Punjab universities. Punjab government has announced on Sunday. According to a notification issued by the provincial government.
However, the notification said that students will not be awarded the degree. If he or she does not study the Holy Quran with translation.
In addition, The notification states that lecturers in all universities of Punjab will teach the Holy Quran with translation to all students. It is now compulsory in all universities of Punjab.
It also added that Quran teachings will be taught separately from Islamiat subjects.

Recently in the month of April, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar had initiated a seven-member committee of VC to submit its recommendations on how to make the teaching of the Quran compulsory part of the syllabus. After meeting with Vice-Chancellors he said it would be mandatory for Muslim students to attend the Quran with Translation lecture.
Governor Chaudry Muhammad Sarwar also said the real success in this world. And hereafter can only be achieved through complete implementation on the guidelines of the Holy Quran. It shows the right path.
The teaching of the Holy Quran with translation is now mandatory in the universities of Punjab. It is also clearly mentioned that if he or she does not study the Holy Quran would not be rewarded with a degree.
