Muharram procession will be allowed in Pakistan with strict SOPs 

Muharram procession will be allowed in Pakistan but with strict SOPs. The federal government allows majlis and processions during Muharram-ul-Haram 2020 this year with following precautionary measures of Standard Operating Procedures.

However, It was decided with Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Noor-ul-Haque Qadri in a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, along with President Dr. Arif Alvi and renowned Shia ulema at Aiwan- e -Sadar.
Moreover, Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, said that unanimous SOPs have been formulated in the light of proposals and will be sent to all provinces and ulema after acceptance of the National Command and Operation Centre(NCOC).

Muharram procession would be allowed in Pakistan with strict standard operating procedures. Due to the coronavirus pandemic outbreak.everyone should keep precautionary measures in mind. Moreover, it is agreed that SOP including social distancing in public, no-entry without a mask, no use of carpet, chlorination of mats allowed to use outside Imam-Bargah only, and brief and time-bound Majalis. Due to coronavirus time, it will be Ban on the participation of old-aged people, handshake or hugging, bringing along prayer mats. This time weeper will not be allowed to touch Alam (flag), Tazia, and Shabih.
