Heavy rain lashed in Lahore and different parts of Punjab 

Heavy rain lashed in Lahore and other different parts of Punjab.however, due to heavy downpours, the traffic in the city got badly affected after the rainwater. Underpasses and roads are filled with rainwater.

Moreover, According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), thundershowers are expected in Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.

A scattered thunderstorm is also expected in southern Punjab and southeastern Sindh.

Heavy rain lashed in Lahore. According to Weather Officials, more rains in different parts of the country are expected during the next 24 hours. After continuous rainfall, the monsoon spell turned the weather of Lahore and upper Punjab pleasant. Weather in other cities also turned into a little cold due to continuous rain since morning.
However, The residents of Lahore and other cities enjoyed the monsoon spell. Due to continuous rain since yesterday the low lying areas of Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala flood with water.

Moreover, several areas of Lahore city faced a power shortage Due to the tripping of feeders. Meanwhile, half of the city is under a shortage of electricity after the monsoon spell. The monsoon caused electricity breakdown and floodwater in several parts of the metropolis.

However, Lahore, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Kashmir, Sawat, and upper areas of Punjab province faced difficulties. Due to heavy rains, multiple roads were submerged, landslides incidents happened in Kashmir, Sawat. electricity was suspended and traffic has been badly jammed.

Dark rainy cloud takes over Lahore

Pakistan meteorological department predicted more thunderstorms in Lahore and other cities of Punjab. Dark rainy clouds take over the whole Lahore.


Several people died and many others suffered injuries after continuous rains lashed different parts of Pakistan’s northwest frontier Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to weather officials says that most of the deaths were reported from the upper parts of Punjab. According to officials, at least 40 people lost their lives in torrential rains incident.
